I received a most exciting Christmas present! A birdhouse! Daddy followed the instructions and put it together (that is very good because he is not a handy sort of man) and we hung it in the ficus tree and put some grains of rice (uncooked) inside.

What an interesting present! But i am confused – did the birdhouse makers intend for you to attract the birds or not? Is there a special reason that it is painted in camouflage? Just wondering…..
From the Mother Weed: We wondered too… plus it is so small I think only sparrows can nest in it.
Well, birds make nests that blend in. Maybe that’s the logic behind it?
