I have started a radish plantation again. Just look what 2 weeks of rain and sunshine can do?
In case you’re wondering, Mummy stabbed some satay sticks into the pot randomly so the plants would have something to lean on in case they felt faint. But the plants are not the fainting type so Mummy moved them to the side in case they left marks on the growing radishes.
Sorry, Novice Gardener. These are for our pork and radish soup tonight! With noodles on the side because I AM EIGHT TODAY!!!!
Remember my shy radish? It’s bolder now. Maybe pork bone and radish soup this weekend!
See it peeping out from its umbrella of leaves?
Aren’t they pretty? They are determined to poke out. Mummy topped up the soil yesterday but by today they surfaced again.
Don’t you like the angle of this shot? With all the big satay sticks?
I’ve lost count of my radish loot. Here is the latest and the biggest. Look at those leaves!!!
Here it is in the morning sun. It grew into a nice round ball, with a crack down one side. Juice for tomorrow!
Somehow the leaves seem a lot more strong than the root? Anyway Mummy says to juice the whole thing. The Big Sister will make a fuss I know.
